Bio Ag Engineering .net, is intended as an outreach and brainstorming platform tool. The purpose is to create synergy between researchers and innovators aiming to re-invent ecologically sound organic farming and make it a mainstream practice. I was initiated by Hala Chaoui in 2005. She obtained her PhD in biological and agricultural engineering at Ohio State University, and served as a secretary, vice-president, and president of the Ecological Engineering Committee at the American Society for Agricultural and Biological Engineers (www.asabe.org) after initiating conference sessions on this subject, which took place in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. From 2005 to 2009, several researchers and innovators who share this vision have joined the site.
